Previous winners have benefited greatly from the positive response and the recognition they received from the Fi Global Startup Innovation Challenge. It has provided them with a platform for presenting their ideas, helped them secure equity funding and given them international exposure. Pitch your start-up at the foremost global health ingredients show

Now in its third year, The Fi Global Startup Innovation Challenge 2018 will take place during one of Fi Global’s flagship shows – Health ingredients Europe (Frankfurt, 27-29 November 2018). It will give you the opportunity to pitch your idea to the whole host of F&B industry players that make up the show’s 500+ exhibitors and 10,000+ attendees.

This year’s categories are:

  • Most Innovative Healthy Food or Beverage Ingredient
  • Most Innovative Plant-Based Finished Product
  • Most Innovative Technology or Service supporting F&B

The application process is now open. To apply, simply complete this online form before Friday 21 September 2018.

To enter, you must be available to pitch in person on both Monday 26 November and Tuesday 27 November in Frankfurt, Germany.

All shortlisted candidates will be given the opportunity to pitch their product live on Tuesday 27 November at Hi Europe. The winners will receive their prize following the live pitches.

 

Entry Criteria:

  • The startup should be no older than 5 years
  • The startup must have a clear business plan and a developed concept at the very least, prototypes or the final product are preferred
  • The product or service needs to be truly novel
  • The product or service must have a specific health benefit or support health in some way

We request the following documents to support your entry:

Compulsory:

  • Signed Rules and Regulations Document
    Please carefully read the Fi Global Start-up Innovation Challenge Rules and Regulations document and attach a signed copy
  • A short description of your product or service is required that highlights both the novelty element and the health aspect of your product or service. (max. 500 words)

Optional:

  • Commercial Documentation
  • Investor’s presentations
  • Any other similar documents

Not all start-ups will be invited to pitch at the event, so make sure you include as much supporting information with your application as possible to help us with the selection process.
